Brisbane Marthoma Church Sevika Sanghom – TALENT DAY 1st Peter 4:10 – ‘Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.’ Brisbane Marthoma Church Sevika Sanghom is organising a talent day on Saturday June 9th, 2018. We would like to invite all female members of the parish aged above 18 years join us in presenting their skills and talents. Entries are invited in the following categories: Solo singing event (Malayalam) Solo singing event (English) Elocution contest (Malayalam) Elocution contest (English) Poetry writing contest (Malayalam) Poetry writing contest (English) Bible reading competition (English) Photography competition Our awesome God created everyone with unique abilities, talents and gifts. They may be great or small in your eyes, but they matter to God. Get involved and let’s glorify God with our talents so you will inspire and encourage others to live God’s way. Brisbane Marthoma Church Sevika Sanghom – ANNIVERSARY Greetings to all in the name of Jesus Christ “UNITED IN GOD’S LOVE – Ephesians 4:3 “ It is our great joy and privilege to invite you all to the Sevika Sangham Anniversary function on Sunday, 17th June, 2018 immediately after the church service. The event is being organized by the Brisbane Marthoma Church Sevika Sangham members to celebrate the functioning of Sevika Sangham as a women’s wing for the Brisbane Marthoma church. This is the first time we are celebrating the day as an annual function. This will also be a chance for us to look back and pay respect to our senior women members of the BMTC who were involved in setting up the parish. Our Vicar Rev K A Thomas will preside over the function. The highlights of the event include presentation of the Annual report for 2017-2018, programs by some of our very talented sevinis and prize distribution to all the Talent day winners Lunch will be also provided after the service We humbly request your prayerful presence in making the event a blessing for all. Find out more »Special prayer – Prayer for our families and our Kerala State – Friday 5.00 PM
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”-Psalms 46:1 Dear All, As we all are aware, the recent floods have caused extensive damage to our Kerala State. It is our responsibility to pray to God for the deliverance of our people and our state from this great disaster. The death toll in increasing, and the help offered is limited in many areas. Let’s pray for a speedy rescue in the affected areas. A special prayer meeting is arranged tomorrow, Friday, 17 August at 5.00 PM at our St. Philips Anglican Church Parish hall, to pray for all those who are affected by this unexpected disaster. Although, this is arranged on short notice, please try to make every effort to attend the prayer meeting. If it is not possible to attend the prayer meeting, please continue to uphold all the victims and the support networks in your prayers. As per our Metropolitan’s kalpana, the offertory on Sunday (19 August) will be set apart for this cause. Special donations are also welcomed.
